To qualify for a real estate broker's license, you must have a minimum of two years experience as a licensed real estate salesperson or three years experience in the general practice of real estate.  In addition, you must show proof of satisfactory completion of a 75 hour salesperson qualifying education course in real estate, take our 45 hour real estate broker course approved by the Secretary of State, and pass a qualifying examination administered by the Department.

48 hour Brokers' license course. The school exam is given during the final three hours. Students must also pass the New York State Department of State "DOS" license exam and meet the experience requirements
