John G. Davis is an Assistant Faculty Associate and Program Director in the Department of Engineering Professional Development at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, College of Engineering. John has twenty-three years of engineering experience with increasing and diverse responsibilities in the building industry. His employment history includes strategic and tactical positions with a full service architectural/engineering consulting firm, HVAC product manufacturers and a mechanical contractor. He holds a BSME degree (Iowa State University) and MS degrees in Engineering (Purdue University) and Engineering Management (Northwestern University). He is a registered P.E., LEED AP and certified Six Sigma Black Belt. John’s professional interests include HVAC products and systems, DX refrigeration, geothermal system design, thermal systems optimization, building science, building energy management, engineering management and six sigma process and product development methodologies. John is a member of ASHRAE and ASME.
