We designed our Sustainability Shoptalk Series to help advance the knowledge base and accelerate the massive knowledge transfer needed to make sustainability the norm for the real estate industry in the New York metro area. Shoptalk events convene leading practitioners who share their expertise with people in the field who want to learn more about sustainability, who are working to advance the sustainability agenda, and who are helping to further define it.
The first event was held in November 2008; five events followed in 2009. All featured top-drawer speakers and drew many attendees.
At each event, we distributed audience survey forms soliciting comments and suggestions for future events. Responses were strongly positive and constructive. Drawing from them and our own store of knowledge, and consulting with our Shoptalk speakers, we compiled a lengthy list of candidate topics which we are considering for future events.
We welcome suggestions for future Shoptalk events. Please let us know what problems you’re tackling on the sustainability front, what topics you’d like to us to explore, which experts you’d like to hear from, and what meeting formats you prefer.
What we learn from you will help shape not only the content and nature of our future events but our research projects and course content.

We also invite corporate underwriters and foundation funding for this series, which we believe will run for years to come. To explore these opportunities, please contact:
