Newman Institute
The Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute, which has been in operation since 1996, provides continuing education, conferences and research for both current practitioners and the region's next generation of real estate professionals. The Newman Institute continues to be chaired by William Newman with an Advisory Board, including other nationally recognized leaders of New York's real estate community.

- Research is conducted by Baruch's faculty in real estate and public policy along with consultants drawn from throughout the City University and from other universities, focusing on current real estate concerns of the New York metropolitan region.

- Events & Conferences bringing together the most forward thinking real estate, government, nonprofit and design professionals to discuss vital metropolitan development and real estate issues.

- Professional Education, including an innovative and cost-effective Certificate Program for those entering the real estate community, as well as continuing education.

- In furtherance of the City’s and CUNY’s goals and to better serve the real estate industry, we are significantly scaling up our sustainability initiatives.
