I am a first year PhD student in the I/O psychology program and am doing my research assistantship with Dr. Catalina Lawsin in the area of health psychology.  We are currently working on several projects associated with counseling patients with cancer.  Our main research project this semester involves delivering cognitive behavioral therapy to couples in which one of the partners is about to receive a stem-cell transplant.  The goal is reduce the anxiety and uncertainty associated with the transplant.  My research interests include leadership, motivation, intuitive thought processes, and personality traits in the workplace.  I hope to do my Masters thesis on the effect of charismatic/transformational leadership on holistic thought processing.  I also have a Graduate Teaching Fellowship and will be teaching a course in Interviewing Techniques this upcoming summer and fall.
