Marina Milonova

I am a first year student in the I/O psychology doctoral program. I came into the program immediately after receiving a B.A. with honors in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
At UPenn I worked in several psychology labs and was involved in research in a variety of areas such as eating disorders, mental health issues and, most recently, organizational psychology. I became interested in organizational psychology as I began to explore the effects of underlying psychological stress on daily behaviors. I was especially fascinated by how this stress manifests itself indirectly through emotions and interpersonal relationships at work.
Currently I work as a research assistant for Professor Angela Pinto, and am part of Professor Yochi Cohen-Charash’s Emotions Lab. Professor Yochi Cohen-Charash and I have been studying the antecedents of episodic envy, and will be presenting some of our findings at SIOP this April.
I am also a student member of both SIOP and METRO (the Metropolitan New York Association of Applied Psychology).
I was awarded a Graduate Teaching Fellowship, and look forward to starting teaching this summer! I will be teaching Interviewing Techniques.
