Angela Grotto

Angela is a 4th year I/O Psychology Ph.D. student.  In 2001 she received her Masters in psychology with a co-concentration in organizational behavior and program evaluation from Claremont Graduate University.  Currently, Dr. Karen Lyness is advising Angela on her thesis, which examined job characteristics and organizational supports as predictors of negative work-to-nonwork spillover. Angela is also working with Dr. Karen Lyness on a CUNY collaborative research grant, which involves looking at a range of innovative flexible work options in a comparative perspective.  They are using survey data from European countries and the U.S. to examine the effects of individual, workplace, and national characteristics on access to and utilization of flexible options and to assess the implications for workers’ job satisfaction and work- family balance.  Angela also works part-time, mainly during the summer and winter breaks, at Sirota Survey Intelligence, as an Associate Consultant, and her responsibilities include survey administration, survey design, data analysis, and research projects.
