The results of student evaluations of Baruch’s courses and instructors from Winter and Spring 2016 are ready for viewing.
Approximately 55% of the students who were invited to respond to the surveys did so in Spring 2016. (The results from students who withdrew or were dropped from a course have been eliminated.) Publicity about the evaluations, especially mentions in class and via Blackboard by members of the faculty, probably accounts for our surpassing the national average of less than 40% for online evaluations, as does students’ ability to do the evaluations from “smart” devices of various kinds. Nevertheless, our office will continue to work with members of the faculty and staff to consider ways to improve participation even further: please feel free to forward suggestions.
To view your results:
- go to http://baruch.cuny.edu/evals;
- click on the large “Login” button in the middle of the page;
- enter the information you use to gain access to your on-campus computer;
- you will now be in the “My EvalCenter”;
- click on “see” in the column on the right to see results.

Answers to some anticipated questions
Why is my course not listed?
Courses with fewer than five students enrolled were not listed. If a course had more than five students, but no students responded to the survey, then there is no report.
Why are my evaluation questions numbered 20-37 instead of 1-18?
For courses that have multiple instructors, the question numbering in evaluations is continuous because we opted to have the two surveys in such courses appear on the same page rather than have students select an instructor from a button embedded in the survey form.
Why can’t I print my evaluation report?
Printing might not work if you are using a Mozilla Firefox browser to access your evaluations. Using a different browser should work; alternatively, you can “Export to PDF option on the website.” Baruch’s Help Desk can answer related questions: email@example.com or 646-312-1010.
