This just in: Baruch College will celebrate its Forty-Ninth Commencement Exercises in a double header extravaganza on Tuesday, May 27. As it turns out, the MSG Arena is not available on this day and thus we will celebrate two commencement ceremonies at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. The morning Commencement ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00am and will be followed by lunch. The afternoon ceremony will begin at 3:30pm. Each ceremony will consist of both undergraduate and graduate students.
We also invite interested faculty and staff to participate as Graduation Marshals at the commencement exercises. Your presence and assistance on this day is critical. The ceremony involves over ten thousand graduates and guests. We need your help with guest and degree candidate seating, crowd control, as well as the robing of faculty and students.
To confirm your attendance at commencement, to volunteer as a marshal and/or to order your academic regalia, please complete this form and return it to the Office of Student Life no later than Thursday, April 17th. Commencement faculty regalia is available at no cost to members of the faculty and staff. However, it is important that you place your order no later than Thursday, April 17th. Unfortunately, we will be unable to take any orders after this date. Faculty and/or staff who request academic regalia after the order deadline date of Thursday, April 17th will be fitted with whatever gowns are available on the day of Commencement at Madison Square Garden.
You may pick up your academic regalia on May 20th or May 21st between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm in the Newman Vertical Campus Multipurpose Room (NVC 1-107). Garments not picked up by May 21st will be available in the faculty robing area at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, May 27th.
If you are attending the morning ceremony only, please return your cap and gown at the conclusion of the ceremony. If you are participating in both ceremonies, you must keep your academic regalia during lunch and return it at the conclusion of the afternoon ceremony. All garments must be returned at the conclusion of the ceremonies at Madison Square Garden. Please do not return academic regalia back at the College.
On behalf of the Commencement Planning Committee, we look forward to your participation at Baruch College’s Forty-Ninth Commencement Exercises.
