From: Keri Bertino, Director, Baruch College Writing Center
Dear Members of the Faculty:
The Writing Center welcomes invitations to visit your classrooms in the spring semester. During a classroom visit, our professional consultants present a 10-15 minute overview that introduces our mission, describes our services, and helps students determine how they can make the best use of the Writing Center’s resources. We also address practical concerns, such as where to find us and how to use our online scheduler to make appointments, and answer any questions about the Writing Center.
To invite us to your classroom, complete the online form at http://writingcenter.baruch.cuny.edu/faculty/classroom-visits. If you’d prefer, you may also download a Classroom Visit Invitation Form and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, or drop it off at the Writing Center, NVC 8-185.
Many other resources for faculty, including blurbs for your syllabi, are available at the following link: http://writingcenter.baruch.cuny.edu/faculty/
And as always, please be in touch if you'd like to discuss your students' writing, assignment and rubric design, feedback to student writing. The Writing Center is your partner in teaching our students the reading, writing, research, analysis, and critical thinking skills they'll need to excel—in coursework and their careers.
With best wishes for the new semester,
Director, Baruch College Writing Center
