Dear Members of the Faculty Teaching this Summer,

The eCertification period for Summer Session I 2013 will begin at 12:01am on Monday, June 17 and close at 11:59pm on Thursday, June 20.

During the eRoster certification process you are required to verify that all students listed are actually attending the class. For any student, who has never attended a class and there is no documented evidence (such as a completed assignment) of the student’s participation in the course, you are to award the grade of “WN,” which indicates “no show” and is non-punitive (it has no impact on the Grade Point Average).  Students awarded this grade receive an email telling them this.

Certification of attendance through eRosters is a CUNY requirement.  It is vital that rosters be certified for each one of the course offerings as it affects compliance with federal regulations and students receiving financial aid.

Students attending your course who are not on your roster, should be sent to the Registrar’s office; Library Building, Room 850

For instructions on eCertification go to: http//www.baruch.cuny.edu/roster

If you need assistance with eRoster, please contact your department assistant or Luis Ortiz in the Registrar’s Office, luis.ortiz@baruch.cuny.edu

Sincerely,

Edward D. Adams

Senior Registrar
