Distinguished Nicaraguan writer and intellectual Sergio Ramírez will deliver the Ninth Keynote lecture of the Paul Andre Feit Memorial Lecture Series of Baruch College on March 8, 2017. Mr. Ramírez is one of the most prominent novelists, short story writers, and intellectuals of Latin America. He has received many awards including the Alfaguara International Prize in 1998 and the Presidential Medal of Honor of Chile in 2004. Ramirez, who will be traveling from Nicaragua to deliver the lecture, also served in the leftist Government Junta of National Reconstruction and as Vice President of Nicaragua from 1985-1990 under the Presidency of Daniel Ortega.
