In November 2015, teams from Baruch College took 2nd and 5th place in the eighth annual Traders@MIT Fall Intercollegiate Trading Competition, besting teams from Dartmouth, Princeton, Harvard, Yale, UChicago, and other elite schools. The outcome came as no surprise; Baruch's Financial Engineering program has recently been ranked #2 in the nation. Profs. Dan Stefanica and Jarrod Pickens, of Baruch's Masters in Financial Engineering program, and Aleksandra Mikhaylova, Anik Roy, Bell Chen, and Raymond Wong, from the winning teams, discuss the maximum yields to be gained by taking students out of the classroom and into intercollegiate competition.
