Preparing Students to Critique and Produce Media Effectively
Tuesday, April 30, 12:45-2:15 p.m.
Newman Library Building, Room 765

From: Mikhail Gershovich, Director, Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute

In this roundtable, a faculty member and a Media Fellow in Journalism will discuss the strategies they have used to prepare their students to write about and produce videos and podcasts. By demonstrating specific assignments and unpacking the processes leading up to the critique and creation of media, this roundtable aims to establish good teaching practices that can be applied across multiple disciplines. Presenters will also discuss how to respond to assignments that involve the critique or creation of media. We will be joined by Professor Vera Haller (Journalism) and Media Fellow Emily Johnson.

Lunch will be served and adjuncts will be compensated at the non-teaching adjunct rate.

RSVP to communication.institute@baruch.cuny.edu or (646) 312-2062.
