The Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute presents a faculty development workshop.
Multimedia and Blogging in the Classroom
Wednesday, October 10, 2:30-4:00pm, Schwartz Communication Institute, Annex Building (137 E. 25th St.), Room 323
This workshop examines strategies and practices that support the effective use of multimedia and online publishing in coursework. We will look at examples of successful assignments and discuss common mistakes in order to develop an understanding of how to integrate multimedia into the curriculum, structure multimedia and blog assignments, and scale our expectations about what can be accomplished in one semester. Faculty who have already experimented with technology are invited to bring a copy of an assignment involving blogs or multimedia. We'll be joined by Professor Ted Henken (Black and Hispanic Studies) and Luke Waltzer (Assistant Director for Educational Technology, Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute). Refreshments will be served.
Adjuncts will be compensated for their time at the non-teaching adjunct rate.
