This year’s Addison Gayle Memorial Lecture will take place on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 12:30 - 2 p.m., in NVC 14-250. The guest speaker, Dr. Cheryl A. Wall, is Zora Neale Hurston Distinguished Professor of English at Rutgers University. She has authored and edited several well-known books on the Harlem Renaissance and feminist theory and criticism. Her pioneering works of criticism include Women of the Harlem Renaissance and Worrying the Line: Black Women Writers, Lineage and Literary Tradition. Her talk is titled "City of Dreams: Harlem in the 1920s."

A light lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.
