Some previous emails about the dates for final exams ignored the change anounced two months ago (see below) that—owing to the scheduling of commencement—exams that had been scheduled for Friday, May 27 would take place on Friday, May 20. (Saturday classes will meet as scheduled on May 21.)
The exam schedule circulated on May 3 was correct: http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/exams/documents/Spring2016FinalExam.pdf

Special Adjustment to the Baruch Spring 2016 Final Exam Schedule:
Exams scheduled for May 27 will be now be administered on May 20
From: Dave Christy, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dear Baruch Faculty,
Baruch College is committed to resolving issues that have arisen from scheduling our annual commencement ceremony on the afternoon of Friday, May 27. This ceremony will honor students who have completed their degree requirements in January 2016, or expect to complete them during Spring 2016 or Summer 2016.
Final exams scheduled for Friday, May 27 have created a conflict for faculty administering exams and over 600 spring or summer graduating students who want to participate in commencement. Scheduling conflict examinations for so many students is impractical, and asking faculty to develop separate examinations for graduating and continuing students presents an unusual burden. Additionally, we fully deploy our campus classrooms, and finding locations to conduct conflict finals for over 600 students is very difficult.
We have consulted with a small sample of faculty and students affected by this, and determined that the best solution is to move all examinations scheduled for Friday, May 27 to Friday, May 20 at the same times and locations. As you may be aware, May 19 and 20 are designated as “reading days” but they are also the days that the College would use to “make up” instruction if there were to be an emergency/weather closure of the campus. Please note that Thursday, May 19 is still available for this purpose, in the unlikely event of a late season storm. This exam schedule change applies to all Baruch students, not just graduating seniors.
Our goal is to ensure that all eligible students and faculty are able to participate in this well-earned commencement celebration at the Barclays Center. This rescheduling will achieve that goal.
Some notes about Commencement:
Doors to the Barclays Center open at 3:00pm, and all guests will need to proceed through security screening. Please encourage your family and friends to arrive and enter the arena early. The ceremony begins at 4:00 pm and is expected to end at 5:45 pm.
