From:  Dominic Esposito, Director, Sponsored Programs and Research (SPAR)

Members of the Baruch faculty, especially those in Natural Sciences, Sociology and Anthropology, Computer Information Systems, and Economics and Finance, who are currently or planning to do work abroad, including, but not limited to, consulting, data sharing, stand-alone or collaborative research, will want to familiarize themselves with CUNY Export Controls policies and procedures. CUNY will conduct a series of workshops detailed in the message below from Aimee Valencia of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

From:  Aimee Valencia, Office of CUNY’s Vice Chancellor for Research

As you are aware, faculty are often perplexed that export control regulations may affect their activities as faculty researchers, and rightfully so. This area of research compliance is very complex and difficult to grasp. Therefore, I am pleased to inform you that we will hold an export control workshop specifically targeted to faculty members. The same workshop will be held at 4 different times at 4 different CUNY locations, in an attempt to reach as many faculty members as possible. Details regarding the workshop are provided below.

Interested attendees must register at:
