Thursday, April 19, 12:45-2:15, 151 E. 25th Street (Newman Library building), Room 763
From: Mikhail Gershovich, Director, Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute
How can instructors create assignments that result in higher quality student work? In this roundtable we will discuss possible design strategies, including scaffolding (or breaking down large assignments) and rubrics for communicating expectations. We will focus on how low-stakes and generative writing, in-class work, and effective communication can lead to more sophisticated and successful final essays, projects, and presentations.
