Out of the Darkness

Community Walk to promote suicide awareness and prevention

Sunday, October 27, 9am-noon

Baruch College is organizing a team to participate in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Sunday, October 27 from 9am to noon, sponsored by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

Your participation is a way to honor family and friends, make information about suicide more widely available, and demonstrate the College’s commitment to this important issue. We are walking with APFP as it is a leading national not-for-profit organization dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education, and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those affected by suicide.

To join the Baruch College team, register on AFSP’s website:

  • You will be given the option to join a team. The Baruch College team is listed towards the end of the drop-down under School Participant Teams.
  • Once registered you can set up your own personal fundraising page. What you raise will be counted towards the team’s goals.
