The Center for Teaching and Learning is offering the following workshops. We invite you to join us for these workshops to explore the use of various technologies and practices for your course.

Video Annotations

  • How can my students create and upload videos to share with me and my class?
  • How can we annotate such videos and create a more interactive discussion?

If you are interested in these, this video annotations workshop would help you explore our home-grown tool called VOCAT.

Date: Tuesday 4/19/16

Time: 1:00 to 2:00PM

Location: 6-145 NVC

Please RSVP  (http://bit.ly/1S0Zc6B)

Active learning and teaching with technology

  • What kind of in-class work would increase student engagement in my course?
  • How can I flip my classroom to promote student discussion in class?
  • How can technology promote active learning?

The active learning and teaching with technology workshop addresses these questions and introduces technologies that enable classroom responses and collaboration.

Date: Wednesday 5/4/16

Time: 1:00 to 2:00PM

Location: 14-285

Please RSVP  (http://bit.ly/1S0Zc6B)

Using Blogs@Baruch in your course

  • What are alternative online platforms that could help facilitate my course?
  • How can I create my course website outside of blackboard?
  • Is there a tool that allows students to read each other's’ work and discuss online?

If you have asked these questions, the workshop on Blogs@Baruch would be of interest to you.

Date: Monday 5/9/16

Time: 1:00 to 2:00PM
