From: Luke Waltzer, Director, Center for Teaching and Learning
The Center for Teaching and Learning will be hosting an informational forum about the CTL Faculty Fellows Program on Thursday, October 31 from 12:30-2pm in NVC 14-280. During this time Luke Waltzer, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, will make a brief presentation about the Center and the fellowship, and will answer questions from faculty members who may be considering applying.
The CTL Faculty Fellows program presents a fantastic opportunity for full-time Baruch faculty who have not yet experimented with teaching in an online or hybrid format to think creatively about how doing so might open up new pedagogical opportunities within and across the disciplines. It also poses an opportunity for faculty members to contribute their knowledge to the formulation of the College’s overall strategy in the area of online education. CTL Faculty Fellows will receive one course release to participate in a seminar during the Spring 2014 semester. In this seminar Fellows will work with the CTL to plan new online or hybrid courses that they will teach during the Fall 2014 semester.
Applications can be submitted via this page on the Center for Teaching and Learning's new website: http://ctl.baruch.cuny.edu/ctl-faculty-fellows/ Applications will be read by the new CTL Advisory Committee, which includes administrators and faculty members from all three schools.
