Adjunct Faculty Orientation
From: Dennis Slavin, Associate Provost for Teaching and Learning and AVP
The Office of the Provost and the Baruch PSC invite members of Baruch adjunct faculty to participate in an orientation on the theme of Student Services. Hear directly from Baruch staff about resources available to address various academic and mental health issues that our students may experience, particularly in the lead-up to finals. This will be a relatively informal panel intended to give adjunct faculty a sense of the kinds of issues that arise, especially as finals approach, and the resources available to them and to our students. Participating members of the adjunct faculty will be paid at the NTA (60%) rate and lunch will be available.
Our orientation will take place on Thursday, November 16, from 12:30-2:00pm (lunch available starting at 12:15) in NVC 14-270.
To ensure proper compensation (and a sufficient number of sandwiches), please RSVP to Vanessa Cano by noon on Tuesday, November 14: Vanessa.Cano@baruch.cuny.edu
I’m looking forward to meeting many of you.
