Tshombe Miles is an Assistant Professor of Black and Latino Studies at Baruch College where he teaches courses on race. He is available to comment on:

His most recent research focuses on the fight against slavery and racism in nineteenth century Brazil.
Miles wrote a book titled, A luta contra a escravidão eo racismo no Ceará, Brasil (The Fight Againist Slavery and Racism in Ceará), Fundação Demócrito Rocha/IEPRO, March 2012.
He is a member of The American Historical Association, The Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora, and Associação Nacional de História (The National Association of History, located in Brazil).
Dr. Miles received a master ’s degree from City College and a Ph. D. from Brown University in Latin America and African-diaspora studies.
He is fluent in Portuguese.
