Baruch College Offers Expertise On Accounting, Business Ethics, and Corporate Governance

Douglas R. Carmichael Steven B. Lilien, Weinstein Professor of Accountancy in the Zicklin School of Business, is a certified public accountant and a member of the Board of Directors for the New York Chapter of Financial Executives International as well as the Institute of Internal Auditors.

He is available to comment on:

  • Financial and managerial accounting
  • Issues of integrity, governance and auditing practices
  • Executive compensation
  • Pro-forma earnings

Professor Lilien is the co-editor of the eighth and ninth editions of the Accountants Handbook and co-author of several books covering financial accounting and auditing and the discovery of accounting information in litigation actions. He has been published widely in the governance area, and in every major accounting journal. In addition, he has been a consultant on financial accounting and auditing for international and regional CPAs, and for governmental agencies and law firms.

Professor Lilien is a graduate of New York University, where he received a BS and MS in accountancy as well as a PhD in accountancy and finance.
