Baruch College Offers Expertise on Accountancy and Corporate Governance
Joseph Weintrop is the Stan Ross Professor of Accountancy at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and has served as the Executive Officer of the CUNY Doctoral Program in Business.
He is available to comment on the following topics:
— The valuation of overseas activities of global corporations
— Determinants of executive compensation in the U.S. and Asia
— Corporate governance in the U.S. and Asia
Professor Weintrop’s work has been featured in several publications including the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Administrative Science Quarterly, and the Journal of Financial Economics.
Professor Weintrop is a member of several organizations including the American Accounting Association, American Finance Association, as well as other professional groups. He is a frequent lecturer to business and academic groups in the U.S. and Asia.
He graduated with a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, a MBA in Management Science from York University and a PhD in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, and Economics from the University of Oregon.
