Baruch College hosts a variety of public programming: conferences, panels, and seminars addressing current affairs, business, and the arts. As a public college in the heart of Manhattan, Baruch College often presents programming on timely issues of special significance to New Yorkers.

Recent topics discussed at Baruch Conferences include transportation infrastructure in the New York City metro area; building a sustainable business environment; unemployment in New York City; and the outlook for entrepreneurship and small business across New York State.

Featured speakers have included such celebrated figures as best-selling novelist Francine Prose, Founder of Craigslist Craig Newmark, Award-winning Clothing Designer Tommy Hilfiger, Activist and Writer Gloria Steinem, and Nobel laureate and Economist Paul Krugman.
