Baruch SPA Interns at NYS Legislature

NEW YORK, NY-April 13, 2015 --Six students from the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College are serving internships in the New York State Legislature during the spring 2015 semester. All are pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs (BSPA). This is the most students from any CUNY Campus and the most ever in one year from Baruch College.

Soowoo Back, born in South Korea and raised in New York, is interning with Assembly Member Aravella Simotas of District 36 in Queens.

Sean Derle of Boston is interning with Assembly Member David McDonough of District 14 in Nassau County.

Sebastian Franco of Staten Island is interning with State Senator Jose Peralta of District 13 in Queens.

Esther Grullon, born in the Dominican Republic, is interning with Assembly Member Maritza Davilla of District 53 in Brooklyn.

David Shaeffer of New York is interning with State Senator Simcha Felder of District 17 in Brooklyn.

Eyerusalem Zewdie, born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and raised in New York, is interning with Assembly Member Catherine Nolan of District 37 in Queens.
