Promotion of Christina Latouf

To the Baruch College Community:

It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Christina Latouf as Assistant Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs, a position in which she has ably served on an acting basis since December 2009. The decision to appoint Christina in a permanent capacity is based on her commitment to the College and on the quality of her work since she joined Baruch in August 2008.

From day one, Christina Latouf has been focused on transforming a former publications office into a first-rate department that is capable of handling the full spectrum of marketing and communications activities for the College, as well as its government and community outreach. Her success can be measured by Baruch’s rising reputation with our various external audiences, as well as by the number of college offices, departments and institutes that rely on her team to shepherd the marketing and promotion of their programming and various outreach efforts. Two years ago, responsibility for managing the Public Affairs function was also transferred under Christina’s oversight, and this appointment reflects that change as well.

As a senior manager, Christina serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet, and I have come to rely on her good humor, sound judgment, strategic planning abilities and her creative approach to problem solving. Baruch College is extremely fortunate to have someone with Christina Latouf’s intelligence and ability serving in this position.
