Eugene J. Sherman Headshot

Eugene J. Sherman, a Fellow of the Weissman Center for International Business, began building this website, NYCdata, in the Fall of 2004 and has overseen the content and marketing ever since.  Over the years he's had the benefit of a number of assistants, all of them students at Baruch, who have done the research and some of the writing. We couldn't have achieved what we have without them.

Mr. Sherman taught various classes in Economics at Baruch for 14 years, especially Money and Banking. In 2003, he received the Beta Gamma Sigma award for teaching excellence.

In his professional life he worked as an economist, money manager, investment strategist and bank executive. He has published extensively and received a number of awards.
