• The New York Islanders, founded in 1972, are a National Hockey League (NHL) team based in Uniondale, New York.
• Currently, they play in the Nassau Coliseum, but have plans to relocate to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY for the 2014-2015 NHL season.
• They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL.
• The Islanders have won 4 Stanley Cup Championships, 5 Conference Championships and 6 Divisional Championships.
• The Rangers have made 21 Playoff appearances, with the most recent being in 2007.
