	"Major League Baseball" (MLB) refers to the top leagues, the National League, and the American League. The Major League Baseball season runs from early April through late September. There are 30 teams altogether in the leagues. Each league is split into three divisions: East, Central, and West. The season consists of 162 games per team. The National League champion and American League champion play each other in the October season finale, the World Series.

AMERICAN LEAGUE The American League, formed in 1900, is one of the leagues that make up Major League Baseball in America. It is currently comprised of the following 15 teams:

NATIONAL LEAGUE The National League, founded in 1876, is the other one of the leagues constituting Major League Baseball in America. It is currently comprised of the following 15 teams:
