Baruch College Ranked #5 Among Top Public Universities in New York by Niche
NEW YORK, NY - January 26, 2016 - Baruch College has been ranked among the Top 5 Public Universities in New York by Niche’s 2016 Best Colleges. Baruch ranks #5 on the list of 30 public universities surveyed in the state, and #92 nationally.
According to Niche, the survey takes into account key factors such as the strength of the academic program, the aptitude of professors, the quality of campus amenities, the general character of student life, as well as student reviews in an attempt to measure the overall excellence of the college experience.
At #5, Baruch College was the highest-ranking CUNY college. Brooklyn College, City College, Hunter College and Queens College ranked #7, #12, #16, and #17 respectively.
At the time of analysis, Niche’s database contained records for 1,713 public and private, traditional four-year colleges and universities across the United States. For the purposes of this ranking, a "traditional" college is considered to be any accredited, non-profit post-secondary institution that primarily offers four-year degree programs (as opposed to two-year or less). Some colleges were not included in this ranking if: (1) they were not located in one of the 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia; (2) they had fewer than 100 full-time undergraduate students; or (3) they had insufficient data. Of the colleges that identify as public and met the required qualifications, 515 were ranked.
