Two Baruch Students Win Vault’s “Big Break via Video” Contest

New York, NY - February 27, 2007-- Baruch undergraduates David Wright and Rahul Vats  are two of the five winners of job-search Internet portal Vault ‘s inaugural “Big Break via Video Resume Challenge.”  The winning video resumes are featured on the Vault.com homepage along with their profiles and written resumes in addition to being directly delivered to Vault’s network of Wall Street investment banks, and some banks are already offering interviews to the winners.  

Both juniors are honor students at Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business, and both have had multiple internships at prestigious financial investment companies.

David Wright is a junior with an Economics and Political Science double major, who is on track for Summa Cum Laude distinction in Spring 2008. Wright is currently formulating his senior thesis on how global capital investment drives political decisions.

Rahul Vats
is working towards completing a BBA by Spring 2008.  A Finance and Investments major, who chose a Mathematics and Computer Information Systems (CIS) minor, Vats has made the Dean’s List since fall 2004, he has also worked 40 hours a week while attending Baruch full-time.

Vault’s “Big Break via Video” contest –a pioneering video resume competition on the Internet – invited aspiring investment banking summer analysts to submit video resumes to Vault.com. Vault’s editors selected five of the most impressive video resumes and one honorable mention. Baruch College had two winners and one each came from Purdue University, Mount Holyoke College, and Fordham University, with an honorable mention going to the University of Texas at Austin.
