U.S. News & World Report’s 2002 edition of “Best Graduate Schools” has ranked Baruch College’s School of Public Affairs (SPA) in the top 50 public affairs programs in the nation for its Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. SPA tied for 46th place in the nationwide survey of 259 public affairs programs, conducted by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) and the Association for Public Policy Analysis. Rising into the top 50 is a great accomplishment for the school and reflects the commitment of its highly regarded faculty.

Besides the MPA—which was the first program in New York City to be accredited by NASPAA— the school offers the Executive MPA, the MSEd in Higher Education Administration, and the MSEd in Educational Administration and Supervision. It also offers the Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs and the only Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Metropolitan Development in the tri-state area. Established in 1994, SPA is the only public affairs school in New York based at a public institution. With its many outreach programs that regularly bring students together with community leaders, the school has a unique involvement in New York’s administrative and policy matters and a direct impact on the city’s future.
