BARUCH COLLEGE, NEW YORK, NY (9/08/03)--Most of Baruch College’s 15,000 students currently live in the five boroughs of New York City, but that is usually not where they started.

At last count, Baruch’s students and their immediate families represented more than 140 nations of origin and more than 90 native languages – making the College once again the most diverse in the United States according to statistics reported in the annual survey and rankings of American colleges published by U.S. News & World Report.

At the same time, the U.S. News survey shows Baruch’s undergraduate business programs ranking 64th in the nation, and its part time MBA program in the top 20.

The undergraduate ranking makes Baruch College number two in the New York metropolitan area, behind New York University, and number 5 in New York State.

Baruch, the most competitive of the senior colleges in the CUNY system, is also one of the top 40 public undergraduate business schools in the country. This year’s freshman class is, statistically, the best in three decades or more, with average SATs of almost 1150.
