President Wallerstein told the class of 2014, “You are about to embark on the most exciting adventure of your life. Soon you, too, will become part of the ‘Baruch story’; and you will join the 100,000 members of the Baruch alumni community throughout the world, who have gone on to build successful careers in business, the arts, sciences, social sciences and public affairs.” To read his full remarks, click here.

The ceremony concluded with a rousing sing-along of the Baruch Alma Mater, led by Baruch Chorus Director Teresa Parker. Immediately following Convocation, students took part in the “Baruch Beginnings” full day of opening festivities including small group discussions of The Bitter Sea, several startup workshops, and a performance of MIXED, Maya Lilly’s one-woman show about identity. The day ended with lunch and a street fair for the entire freshman class.
