3,405 Receive Degrees at Baruch College's
38th Commencement Exercises

BARUCH COLLEGE, NEW YORK, NY (5/28/03)--Baruch College today held its 38th Commencement Exercises at 11 am at Madison Square Garden. Baruch President Ned Regan and the deans of Baruch’s three schools, the Zicklin School of Business, the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Public Affairs, conferred 2,581 undergraduate and 824 graduate degrees at the ceremony.


Best Friends Share Valedictorian Honors at Baruch

Binderya Enkhbold, a Mongolian-born human resources management major, and her best friend since freshman year, Judy Chiu an accounting major whose family came to the US from Taiwan, ended up in a dead heat for best grade point average in Baruch's Class of '03, tying at 3.99. Ms. Enkhbold gave birth to a nine-pound baby girl three weeks before her last round of final exams; Ms. Chiu, was named a Rosenberg Scholar at Baruch and interned for two consecutive summers at Merrill Lynch, where she starts a full-time position in July.
