Christina Latouf Joins Baruch College as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer

New York, NY, Aug. 14, 2008 -- Baruch College President Kathleen Waldron today announced the appointment of Christina Latouf as the College’s chief communications and marketing officer. Latouf comes to Baruch from Time Warner Inc., the world’s leading media and entertainment company, where she was the executive director of marketing communications.

Christina Latouf joins Baruch College following a national search. "I am confident that Ms. Latouf’s skills and experience will bring much energy and vision to the College’s external relations efforts," President Waldron wrote in a letter to the College’s faculty and staff.

Latouf, who assumed her position on August 4, 2008, will be responsible for all aspects of Baruch College's advertising, public relations, branding, marketing, and communications. She will implement a communications program that supports the College’s growing national and international reputation.

"As a graduate of Baruch, I am eager to bring an integrated marketing approach to the College’s branding and image efforts," Latouf said. "We have a great story to tell about our world-class faculty, students and strategic vision."

A native of Boston and an alumna of Baruch College’s MBA program, Christina Latouf received a BA from NYU in 1989, majoring in journalism. She earned an MBA from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business in 2000, specializing in marketing and management. Latouf is a resident of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she lives with her husband and serves on the Board of Directors of Williamsburg’s Beginning with Children Charter School.

Christina Latouf joined Time Warner in 1990 as an editorial assistant. Her career thereafter had a steady upward trajectory with ever-increasing responsibilities. Along the way, Latouf won a number of awards for design and branding. In 2002, she was inducted into the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers, and in 2003 she received the IMPACT Award from the Girl Scouts of Greater New York for producing a bilingual PSA campaign for the Hispanic community. Latouf has also been affiliated with NYU as an adjunct lecturer on media and communications.
