US News & World Report Ranks Baruch College Among The Best In The Nation
Baruch College has earned a 2010 gold badge as one of the best colleges nationwide from America’s Best Colleges, 2010 Edition, published by U.S. News & World Report magazine. In the just-released report Baruch took honors in several categories. The magazine, which assesses schools regionally, ranked Baruch College at #36 overall in its list of best master-degree granting institutions in the north, and #6 among best master-degree granting public colleges in the region.
For the first time, Baruch College, with an acceptance rate of 23.5%, was named the most selective college in its region. Baruch also retained its place in rankings for ethnic diversity of the student body, coming in at #1 for the eleventh year in a row. The College was cited for its outstanding freshman retention rate (88.5%), for the low level of debt incurred by its graduates, and for its high number of international students.
