The School of Public Affairs presents the Peter F. Vallone, Sr. Seminars in Government, 2006-2007 Lectures Series. This program provides a forum for leading policymakers, scholars, and influential personalities in city government to debate issues that are currently making headlines.
This seminar will focus on the media's choice of which issues to cover and how to frame the those issues during local elections. The panelists represent radio, television, print and Internet news sources and have special expertise on media coverage of elections in New York City.
Panelists include David Seifman, New York Post city hall bureau chief; Stan Brooks, voice of WINS; Dominic Carter, senior political reporter at New York 1; and Azi Paybarah, New York Observer Internet columnist.
