Baruch College Welcomes Professor of Law Robert J. Jackson Jr. for Lecture on Ethics and Accountability

NEW YORK, NY- September 19, 2014  - The Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business welcomes Robert J. Jackson, Jr., Associate Professor of Law, Columbia Law School, as the featured speaker in the HSBC Student Series on Ethics and Accountability. Scheduled at 12:45 p.m., Oct. 2, the lecture is focused on ethical challenges for tomorrow’s business leaders.

Professor Jackson will talk about the ways in which he feels the American marketplace falls short of the ideal, in the areas of transparency and accountability. Drawing on his experience in the Office of the Special Master for TARP Executive Compensation, his activism and research, he will address executive compensation, corporate political spending and shareholder rights in the context of the economic uncertainties of the last several years.

The HSBC Student Series on Ethics and Accountability is a four-part discussion focused on a broad range of current ethical issues in business, finance, government, law, and society. The programs are designed by expert faculty to increase student engagement in business ethics matters.
