Baruch College Presents Nonprofit Seminar "Social Impact Metrics For Attracting Investment"



 

NEW YORK, NY-February 17, 2015 - The Center for Nonprofit Strategy and Management, located in the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College and the National Executive Service Corps (NESC) present a nonprofit seminar “Social Impact Metrics for Attracting Investment” on Tuesday, February 24 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The seminar will be held in the College’s Administration Building at 135 East 22 Street in Room 301.

Thomas S. Lyons, Ph.D. and the Lawrence N. Field Family Chair in Entrepreneurship at the Zicklin School of Business will serve as moderator for the event which will discuss the nature of social impact investment: how it works, its potential and its challenges. Other topics will address what impact investors look for in perspective nonprofit social impact investees, approaches to measuring social impact, successful projects conducted by nonprofits and supported by impact investment and expected future activity in the social impact investment field. Speakers include Ken Berger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Charity Navigator; John MacIntosh, Partner, SeaChange Capital Partners; Jennifer Soloman, Chief Financial Officer, Greyston Foundation; and Michael M. Weinstein, Chief Program Officer, Robin Hood Foundation.
