Baruch College Hosts 10th Anniversary

NEW YORK, NY-February 18, 2015 - Baruch College welcomes Henry R. Kravis, Co-founder, Co-Chairman and CEO of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Company as keynote speaker of the 10th Anniversary Burton Kossoff Business Leadership Lecture. The lecture begins at 1 p.m., in the Simon Conference Room 14-220 of the Newman Vertical Campus Building, 55 Lexington Avenue.
Henry R. Kravis is co-founder, co-chairman, and co-chief executive officer of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company (KKR), a leading global investment firm. Mr. Kravis currently serves on the boards of China International Capital Corporation, First Data Corporation, and ICONIQ Capital, LLC. He also serves as a director, chairman emeritus, or trustee of several cultural, professional, and educational institutions, including the Business Council (vice chairman), Claremont McKenna College, Columbia Graduate School of Business (co-chairman), Mount Sinai Hospital, the Partnership for New York City, the Partnership Fund for New York City (founder), Rockefeller University (vice chairman), Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (chairman), and the Tsinghua School of Economics and Management. Mr. Kravis founded the Kravis Leadership Institute at Claremont McKenna College, where he established the Kravis Prize in Leadership, which honors leadership in the non-profit sector. Mr. Kravis earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College and a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Mrs. Phyllis L. Kossoff created the Burton Kossoff Business Leadership Lecture Series in August 2003 in memory of her beloved husband Burton Kossoff '46 and his commitment to his alma mater.
