Back in 1984 I met my future wife at Baruch totally by chance and I believe we were meant to be together. We met in an advanced stat class. She took it as an elective and I took it at the same time that I was taking intermediate stat. Remember, back then you had to wait in line to register for classes. In addition, I don’t believe the mainframe system was checking to make sure pre-requisites were in order, so that’s how I got away with taking the two classes during the same semester. I was lucky enough to sit next to her and realized very quickly that she was keeping up and I wasn’t. So, naturally, I asked her for help which she kindly gave and that’s how we met. My wife is so smart that she took advanced stat as an elective and received an A! I didn’t get an A but I did get a beautiful wife!! We are now married for 18 years and have four children. (Both of us went to night classes and worked during the day for most of our stay at Baruch.)
