BARUCH-IN-FLORIDA ALUMNI RECONNECT
The Sunshine State draws Baruchians by the dozens—some to visit, others to relocate. The past few months have seen a lot of Florida-based Baruch-related events. Baruch-in-Florida alumni were joined by President Kathleen Waldron and other members of the Baruch community at two events this winter. Pictured (right) at the January Baruch-in-Florida East event in Boca Raton are Alpha Phi Omega members with accounting major Julia Rozenfeld, a junior with an overall GPA of 3.92 and the first recipient of the Alpha Phi Omega Memorial Scholarship, and (below left) President Waldron with Adele (’36) and Murray (’37) Weinstein. The Weinsteins’ son, Roy, attended a Baruch-in-California event in December 2005 and had such a good time that he persuaded his parents to attend the Florida event. Pictured (below center) at the February Baruch-in-Florida West luncheon in Sarasota are Baruch-in-Florida President Gil King (’51) with Aiola Tufa, a senior honors student originally from Albania who is majoring in finance and investments, and (below right) former Zicklin School of Business Dean and Vice President Sidney I. Lirtzman and his wife, Sheila, who now live in Florida.
