We met in 1936 as freshmen, and graduated in June 1940. We were married on January 11, 1942. Gus served in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 to 1946. We started an accounting practice in 1946 and have been working together ever since. Our son, Elliott, who is also a CPA, has been in the firm for 25 years.

Married 64 years and still loving each other! We have a son and a daughter, five grandchildren, and two great granddaughters. We are still “Best Friends” with Nancy Friedman Apfel, who graduated with us.
