Louis Martin (Jake) Jacobson was elected commander of the Friedman-Paul Post 201 Jewish War Veterans of the USA for 2004–2005. He continues to be a consultant to Ernst & Young LLP in state and local tax practice, in addition to co-chairing the New York State Business Council’s Committee on State Taxation.

Jerome Allan Landau, attorney, mediator, and arbitrator with offices in Scottsdale, Ariz., was recently elected co-chairman of the commercial section of the Association for Conflict Resolution. He is also co-chairman of the organization’s international committee. In March David Shulman retired from his position as senior REIT (real estate investment trust) analyst at Lehman Brothers Holdings.
A high-profile Wall Street “bear,” Shulman was especially renowned for his conservative views in the bullish ’90s, when he was chief equity strategist at Salomon Brothers.

In November Allen Wein joined the sales staff in the Saddle River, N.J., office of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty. Wein, who lives in Paramus, was previously affiliated with Weichert Realtors and Re/Max Realtors.

Victor Menkin is president of Menkin Realty Services, located in New York City. He and his wife of 25 years, Norma, have two children.

Ron Bodansky currently resides in Munich with his wife, the Baroness Hannelore Von Ungern Sternberg. He is director of the Munich Forum for New Development in Psychoanalysis, associate editor of the European Journal for Self-Psychology, and an active member of the International Council of Self-Psychology. In September 2004, Alan Schoenberg retired as vice-chairman of the Schoenberg Salt Company, Inc. He is currently active in real estate in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Oregon.

Herbert B. Bass is VP of finance and senior VP of Enzo Clinical Labs in Farmingdale, N.Y. He has been with the company since 1986.

Dominic Antoniello is senior VP of Redwood Securities Group, a San Francisco–based financial securities firm. Antoniello, who co-manages Redwood’s New York City office, previously worked for American Frontier Financial Corp. Bill Washecka is CFO of Prestwick Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Washington-based company that makes drugs for disorders of the central nervous system. He lives in Silver Spring, Md., with his wife, Betty. They have three children.

Angelo S. Esposito has been promoted to senior VP of energy services and technology at the New York Power Authority.

Mitchell Burg, who has worked in advertising since his graduation, is currently president of the Syndication Network Television Association. He is married with four children. Recently, Albert Cuadra, who lives in Huntington, was named to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island board of directors. Cuadra first became a McDonald’s owner-operator in 1988 and is also the owner and president of Cuadra Foods Corporation. Jerome (Rome) Neal recently starred in Monk, a play about legendary jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk, at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex in New York City. Neal, also a director and playwright, has directed several plays at the Nuyorican Poets Café, among other venues.

Robert Y. Lee was recently promoted from associate commissioner to deputy commissioner at the New York City Department of Finance. He is the first Asian American appointed to this position. He and his wife, Irene, an associate real estate broker for Prudential Realty, have two children. Both attend SUNY Binghamton.

In February Paul Goldwater (MSEd) was named coordinator of the new SAT Prep Program launched by Westchester Jewish Community Services. Goldwater is a retired New York City elementary schoolteacher who has also been an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University, City College, the College of New Rochelle, and Touro College. Ndi Okereke is the director general of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. She has been with the organization since 1983, when she joined as head of research and information. Regina A. Rochford (MPA ’80), assistant professor at Queensborough Community College, received the National Association of Developmental Education’s 2004 Outstanding Dissertation Award. The second edition of her textbook, Getting Your ACT Together: A Guidebook, has recently been released.

Robert Crawford Cantwell is executive VP of finance and CFO of B&G Foods Inc. in Parsippany, N.J. He joined the company in 1983 as assistant VP of finance.

Dan Creange (MS), longtime administrator and former VP for administration and finance at Baruch, was appointed senior VP for finance and management at CCNY. A nurse consultant for a long-term care company, Maria J. Glenn plans to retire by October and return to her native country, the Netherlands. Retired Army Colonel Francis W. Kairson is currently a manager at Verizon Communications in the Bronx, N.Y. He is a member of the board of directors of the New York City Mission Society, the foundation board of Hostos Community College, the board of trustees of Mother Cabrini High School, and several military organizations.

In November 2004, Scott R. Kizner was named superintendent of the Martinsville, Va., school system. Previously, he served as superintendent of Westerly, R.I., public schools. Kizner has spent much of his life in Virginia, where he earned graduate degrees from James Madison University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Virginia and worked in several different school systems.

Recently, Frank DiGrazia was named senior VP of sales at Mzima Networks, where he will head up North American sales operations. Before joining the California-based network service provider, DiGrazia held sales and marketing positions at ITT and MCI/Worldcom, among other companies.

Patricia Hansen received the Marie Caldana Award for her volunteer work with the Ahlbin Rehabilitation Centers Auxiliary of Fairfield (Conn.). She has been involved with the Ahlbin Centers since 1992 and has served as a board member and president of the auxiliary. Hansen and her husband, Glenn, have three children. Recently, Diane Weingart (MBA) was named VP of affiliate marketing at HSN, the television shopping network. Previously, she was regional manager of new business development for Adelphia Cable, Florida Region.

David P. Lubner has joined Connecticut-based real estate firm H. Pearce Company as a sales associate in its commercial division. Recently a technology and business consultant, Lubner was previously managing director of CityVarsity, a film, television, and multimedia college in Cape Town, South Africa.

Jonathan Berman has joined Brooklyn-based Massey Knakal Realty Services as a director of sales. Previously, he worked at Excalibur Systems and Ampol Systems as executive VP for marketing and sales. Richard Blass is executive VP, CFO, and director of Delta Financial Corporation in Woodbury, N.Y. Recently, Kim M. Kubasek (MBA) was appointed assistant executive director for program services at UCP (United Cerebral Palsy) of Suffolk, N.Y. She oversees the integration of programs and services for individuals in the adult day programs, residential services, education, and the Community Programs Center. Prior to that, she was VP of administration at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson.

Marlin Wiggins (MBA) is a CPA practicing in Yonkers, N.Y. A longtime musician, he plays drums in various jazz combos in the New York area.

Patricia Hogan (MBA), senior researcher at Pfizer, is currently in Siem Reap, Cambodia, as part of the company’s Global Health Fellows philanthropic program. Having spent the past 10 years developing anti-infective drugs, she is working at Angkor Hospital for Children, where she instructs staff on diagnostic procedures. In December Scott Levine (MBA) was appointed CFO of eXact Advertising LLC, an Internet-based marketing company focused on search and desktop solutions. Previously, he was CFO of iVillage.

James Loughlin was recently named research manager in the New York City office of CB Richard Ellis, a real estate firm. Prior to that, he worked at Insignia/ESG.

In December the Sunshine Group Ltd. appointed Faith Cohen sales associate for Highgrove, a luxury condominium in Stamford, Conn. Previously, she worked with K. Hovnanian.

Cecilia Gutierrez (MPA) was named a TRIO Achiever, an award given annually to outstanding alumni of TRIO programs. An alumna of the Upward Bound program, which helps low-income high school students pursue higher education, Gutierrez is a program officer with the Beaumont Foundation of America. Chinew U. Okorie is coordinator of the Girls Scouts International Relations Department, as well as a part-time graduate student (in public administration) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

In January Leslie Esters (MPA) was married to Eric Redwine in Manhattan. Esters is a lawyer in private practice and an adjunct professor of nonprofit management and leadership at City College. In September 2004, Jane Fisher (MPA) was appointed director of the Rutherford (N.J.) Public Library after working for nine years at the New York Public Library.
