84 In March Joseph Bellina joined Newmark & Company Real Estate as executive VP, where he heads the firm’s Property Management Division. Previously, he served as senior VP of operations for Macklowe Properties. Bellina is a member and management director of the Real Estate Board of New York and has taught real estate courses at NYU. Trevor Edwards is corporate VP of global brand management for Nike. An employee of the company since 1992, Edwards worked on endorsement deals with basketball player Lebron James, tennis star Serena Williams, and the Brazilian World Cup soccer team. Eric Kirsch was recently appointed global head of insurance asset management at Deutsche Asset Management. He joined the company in 1980 and was most recently head of its fixed income management team for New York and Boston. In June Herman Velasquez was appointed president of the Commercial Solutions Division of Robbins-Gioia, a provider of program management services. He previously served as the company’s VP for business development, commercial markets.

Laurie Brofermaker is a realtor with Friedberg Properties in Haworth, N.J. Mark Pensavalle is VP of production and operations for Starlight Runner Entertainment, Inc., a New York–based multimedia company he co-founded in 2000 with CEO Jeff Gomez. The company’s recently launched imprint, Kissena Park Press, published William Winokur’s novel Marathon in October. Robert Porr, northeast regional director at Solucient, a provider of information products for the health care industry, is the recipient of the 2005 Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Porr, senior administrator of the 105th Medical Group at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, N.Y., was recognized for his work in 2004 as deputy commander of the 447 Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron at Baghdad International Airport, where he coordinated evacuation activities for more than 80 wounded American soldiers. Comic artist Joe Travieso (known as the “hairy hand” artist) has exhibited his work at various galleries in New York and New Jersey, in addition to designing greeting cards.
