Baruch

Dear Friends,

As I begin my term as president of The Baruch College Fund, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the thousands of alumni and friends who, through gifts of financial support and service, have assisted in Baruch's renaissance. The College's remarkable achievements during recent years would not have been possible without your support.

A major component of the college's success been the growth of alumni contributions to The Baruch College Annual Fund. The Annual Fund provides support for the institution's most pressing needs. The invaluable effect of each annual unrestricted gift is immediate, having an impact on the day-to-day life and academic experience of today's students. This includes a broad range of activities such as career services, cultural activities, faculty teaching, information technology, and academic enrichment programs. In addition, while gifts to the Annual Fund provide direct and immediate benefit, these gifts are simultaneously an investment in the future of our students, the College, and the economy of New York City—as well as each city in which our graduates are members and leaders within the workforce and community.

I thank you if you are currently giving to the Annual Fund. Every contribution is important and deeply appreciated by the college community. If you have not yet given, I invite you to join me as a donor. Every gift makes a difference! Our goal this year is $3.5 million, which is equivalent to income that Baruch would receive from a $600 million endowment. The chart on this page illustrates how your unrestricted gift will affect the educational experience of this year's student.

Sincerely,

Irwin Engelman '55, LLD (Hon.) '00
President, The Baruch College Fund
